Elon Musk Donates $10 Million to Republicans

Elon Musk has donated $10 million to help Republicans regain a Senate majority, alongside other significant contributions. This follows a previous donation of $75 million to a pro-Trump super PAC.

Businessman Elon Musk, considered the richest person in the world, made a donation of 10 million dollars to support Republicans in their attempt to regain the majority in the United States Senate. The information was made public through a report submitted to the Federal Election Commission.

The million-dollar donation took place on October 1 and was allocated to the Senate Leadership Fund (SLF) associated with the Republican minority leader in the Senate, Mitch McConnell. In addition to this amount, Musk also contributed 2.4 million dollars to The Sentinel Action Fund, a super PAC related to the Heritage Foundation that provides funding to various Republican Senate candidates, including former President Donald Trump.

These recent donations add to another made by Musk at the end of September, totaling approximately 75 million dollars, to another super PAC - created with his collaboration - in support of Trump’s candidacy. This super PAC, called America PAC, has disclosed that it has received nearly 120 million dollars in contributions for the presidential campaign to date, according to CNN.

The South African businessman is also being investigated by the U.S. Department of Justice after offering gifts totaling one million dollars to registered voters in key states ahead of the presidential elections on November 5.
